Recently, FosTech Solutions has changed to a more secure server orientation. While this meant many changes on our end, only one thing has changed for our users. This is that there is now a step involved in activating a new account, or to change an existing account that has not already done so. Bellow are the steps to do so.

  1. You will receive an email from FosTech with a username and a temporary password.

  2. Open your web browser (Chrome, Explorer, Firefox, etc.) and go to office.com.
    1. If you already use Microsoft Office and are signed in, you can either sign out, or you can open an incognito window (for Chrome), or its equivalent to open Office without being logged in already.

  3. At the top-right of the web page, you will see an icon to login. Click on this to continue.
  4. You will then see this page.

Enter the username that was emailed to you.

  5. The next screen looks the same, but it is for your password. Enter the password that was emailed to you. (If you have waited too long after you received the email, this password will no longer work, as it is temporary. Please activate your account as quickly as possible.

  6. Once you have entered your username and password, you will now ne prompted to create a new, permanent password. This password must follow Microsoft’s strength rules, we have nothing to do with what characters/what length it needs.

IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT YOU REMEMBER THIS PASSWORD!

  1. Once you have completed your new password, you are finished at office.com and can close the page. Nothing further needs to be done at this web site again. This was only a one time this to activate your account.

  2. Now that your account is active, go to your desktop and double-click on the AVP icon. If you do not have an AVP icon, please contact support at support.fostechsolutions.com

  3. When the box comes up asking for your credentials, you will enter the username and password that you just used at office.com. This is the login that will get you to AVP.

  4. Once AVP is open, there is a second login. This one will be given to you by either your supervisory staff, or an AVP technician. Please take care in remembering this password as well.

You are now in AVP and can complete your day’s work. Have a wonderful day.
